Back in London Town
Landing in London was a little bit on the bizarre side. People spoke English! For the first time in months I could stand in a crowd of people and understand the conversations going on around me.
The trip into London from Heathrow reminded me of why I left Melbourne in the first place. I had a Polish driver and started chatting to him about Eastern Europe and travelling through it.
Much as I love Macao it’s not quite the same as backpacking through Europe or South America or Africa or any of the other places I haven’t been. In theory I’m just seven months away from being on the road again.

Another 48 hours
I’ve had 48 hour days before, I’ve even had a 60 hour day before, but when there’s a hard deadline of a flight to catch it’s just that little bit more stressful. I started this stint on Tuesday morning as usual and ended it at 3pm (HK time) on Thursday.
T - 8 days
And I’m off … this time for a proper holiday as planned last year. Just to make sure I appreciate my time away the world conspired against me on the last few days of my stay in Macau. Starting with getting locked out of my Apartment, continued by vomiting passengers on the ferry and culminating in a mad dash to my departure gate. Read the rest of this entry »

Denied bail, sentence extended.
So after all the pain and suffering of working here I finally did the only thing a sane person would do. I gave notice and left. Err no that’s not right … I decided to stay a bit longer. Those of you that think I’m a sadist will be thinking .. ah a little masochism will do him good.
